Mahonia trifoliolata (Agarita) honey plant high Sun exposure Sun toAlso known as Agarito, Algerita. Agarita tells a story of resilient beauty in adversity. Its leaves are tough and holly like, reminding us that it can fend for itself just fine without our help. And it does. But perhaps you've seen a large Agarita in bloom. A bloom so golden yellow and so fragrant that you immediately desire one in your garden. And when the red berries ripen, you can pick them to make a jelly or just eat them straight off the bush.
