2020 Weiser-Kuenstler Ellergrub 'GE - Gross Eule' Riesling, Mosel, Germany Etienne et Claude Courtois hand-harvested estate fruitEllergrub "Groe Eule" or Big Owl, a play on the last name "Knstler" meaning knowledge, is their way to designate their top wine. Ellergrub is a magical place, with vine age at and over 100 years. It is the most slate driven wine, awash in blue grey slate. The wine has a crackle, tension and nervous quiver reverberation of a crisp cold morning. VB
